Advices before your visit
to the Museum
Please read the
instructions below and follow them in order to protect the safety of our
students while they are at the National Museum of Ras Al Khaimah and in order
to achieve the desired goal of the visit
1- Planning the visit
All school visits should
be booked in advance.
2- Before
the visit

Accompanying supervisors should guide and supervise
students during the visit
·
Eating and drinking are not allowed at the museum,
except at launch break.
·
Chat, talk, discuss…but please do it quietly!
·
Each assigned group leaders have to keep their group
members accountable.
·
Walk, don’t run.
·
keep a safe distance between students and showcases.
·
Listen carefully to instructions given by teachers,
adult helpers and members of museum staff
3- Reception
Museum staff will direct the class either
into the lecture room or into the museum, as appropriate.
4- Special
needs/requirements
The school must inform the museum in
advance of any special needs/requirements of individual children, to care for
the specific needs of those children in the museum.
5- Extreme
weather
Advise on suitable clothing for current/
predicted conditions.
6- Supervision
Please note that teachers and accompanying
adults are responsible for the health and safety of their group and should
remain with pupils at all times while in our buildings and during any emergency
evacuations.
7- First
aid
We have members of staff who are trained
in providing first aid. Please inform our staff or Schools Volunteers
immediately if anyone in your group requires assistance due to illness or
injury.
I confirm I have received the advices list from RAK Museum relating to the school visits and I have agreed the terms.
